Music Fidelity A3 24bit / 193Khz Upsampling DAC
Customer was to fully upgrade his DAC to the most extremely level. He also wants to cut a balanced output to match with his full balanced system. After discussion we decided to go for extreme mod with clock installation and separate transformer for the digital stage. Total cost S$7xx.
Yellow Boxed Section
Installed additional Toroidal transformer for digital section and hand built power supply at the top for the EA ultimate clock. Hand built to fit the small space. The power supply board is with discrete FRED diodes, cerafine caps and film bypass.
Blue Boxed Section
Full recap with blackgate output caps (super E configuration)/cerafine/sanyo oscons/film caps bypass/Nichicon FG and muse caps. 2 AD8066 opamp module for filter stage.Balanced Output socket cut and installed. Wired with silver wires.
Red Boxed Section
EA ultimate clock installed. The dedicated power supply is at the top left hand corner. Only upsampling players/DACs has an internal clock that allows for easy installation and replacement of clocks.
