Should i get the modules or the finished amps ?
I have to stress that you really need to know what you are doing before buying the DIY moddules. As per most DIY projects, you usually are on your own after getting the kits. This is no exception. We can discuss about executions and methods, not a problem, but do not expect me to wire up, or worse troubleshoot for you, even for a fee. Sweating and troubleshooting is part of the fun and I certainly would not deprive you of your fun.
My advice is if you have never done or wire up a power supply before, and do not know signal from ground or have not solder consistently for other diy projects, don’t attempt. Instead, order the plug and play completed amplifiers based on these UCD modules.
That said, if you are “in the know” and technical enough in your day job, or have done mileage on previous amplifier projects, gainclones, chipamps, and the NOS DAC, they are wonderfully simple modules to implement. For these DIY brothers, I heartily recommend them to you. They are worth it and provides you with great fun and satisfaction after completion.
