Amp Building Process
To ensure that our UCD amplifiers give the best possible sound, we take great care in building our UCD amps. Below are the steps we take to ensure you get the best product we can offer.
Full Aluminum Casing
Besides being rigid, aluminum also is non-magnetic, and thus does not interfere with the delicate audio signals within.
Extra Rigid 5mm Aluminum Bottom Plate (double layer construction)
To ensure full rigidity, we re-enforce the bottom of our aluminum casing with a 5mm thick bottom plate. This also doubles up as heat sink for the UCD modules.
Custom Drilled Casing
We drill the casing according to your specific needs. This ensures that all connections inside the amp is the shortest possible, as we are able optimize the input/output connectors and the location of the modules freely within the amplifier.
For example, in our power amps, the modules can be placed right up near the input/output connectors for the individual channels, with no crossing of wires to reduce cross-talk and noise. This increases labor cost and assembly cost but we feel this is the only way to get the best performance possible.
Full Customisation
As each amplifier separately, we can customize them to your specific needs. These include:
- Integrated version of your amplifier (with a passive pre section, with or without remote volume control)
- AV loop thru function for integrated version
- 2nd set of Speaker Outputs
- XLR and RCA input (thru switch or external jumper)
And many others. Remember that the amp is specifically tailor made to your unique requirements.
