Audio Note 1.1 Signature DAC

Customer wants to upgrade the DAC. As part of the Signature 1.1, full blackGate Electrolytic caps were used, so only a light mod is necessary. This includes:

All Diodes change to ultra fast soft recovery (FRED) diodes
Critical locations further bypass with SMD capacitors and film capacitors.
Most Importantly, the original design uses a single transformer to power both the output tube stage and digital transformer. A new Toroidal transformer is installed solely for the digital section, to power the DAC, so that the noise from the digital section will not couple to the output stage section. This will yield a purer and detailed sound.
