players.
Above is picture of the modded player. Note the hand-built linear power supply and the toroidal transformer on the left. This is our speciality----linear power supply that runs the whole analog conversion chain. Read all about it in our link : Note that the Blue PCB in the centre is the SDI card from PMS solutions. We have installed this card upon request from customer. |

Above
is the audio board that is modded. In
addition to numerous capacitors and resistors changes, a total of 6 opamps
(2 thru-hole and 4 SMDs) are changed for 2-channel upgrade and a
staggering 14 opamps (2 thru-hole and 12 SMDs) are changed for the
multi-channel upgrade. All powered by our installed linear power supply.
No bad sounding switch-mode power supply running these components!! The
SMDs opamps are extremely difficult to change and solder as the original
opamps are actually glued to the board.
One false move and you WILL peel the PCB and damage the tracks.
Definitely not for the faint-hearted!!
